Student Success Story: When One Farmer Learns, a Whole Community Grows

At the Poultry Training Centre, we always say that knowledge is most powerful when it is shared — and one of our recent students has proven just that.

After completing her training, she returned to her village with a clear mission: to uplift others with the same skills she gained. She

took the initiative to start training her neighbours on proper poultry management.

From teaching how to prepare good housing, ensuring proper hygiene, choosing quality feed, and improving daily flock care, she has become a local champion of best practices. Her neighbours now call her “mwalimu wa kuku” — the chicken teacher — and proudly follow her guidance to improve their own flocks.

Her dedication shows the real power of the Poultry Training Centre: when we empower one student, we strengthen an entire community.
